Beautiful, sweet & full of joy…Amy is so much fun and was the perfect senior to kick off a season of portraits for 2011.
Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot in Santa Barbara:

Just a little sneak peek at their beautiful wedding in Santa Barbara today:

this is their adorable dog: Lulu. She was exhausted after chasing ladybugs all day:

and this was the incredible sunset that we were blessed with:

There is something magical about this family.
I was contacted by a mutual friend who informed me that Jane, the mom, had been diagnosed with cancer, and they wanted one last photoshoot of their family before she went through chemo. I was so humbled to be asked to photograph them, and had no idea that I would leave the photoshoot feeling as if they had given me a gift.
They are such a beautiful example of what God designed family to be, and although they have a tough road ahead of them, they are standing firm. Even spending just a little bit of time with them I am inspired by their hope, and I truly believe Jesus is going to be made more beautiful to them through this all.
Here are a few photos from our shoot.

The incredible mother, Jane:

It’s a new year and you know what that means….lots of resolutions that I know I’ll never keep, and habits I intend to break that always seem to find their way back into my routine…but this year one thing I plan on actually keeping up is…. (drumroll) to blog once a week…..so here is the first of many posts this year (or at least the first of 52 posts)
I had a lovely restful break, and am still attempting to catch up on photos, so for now, here are a few of my favorites from a photoshoot I did of the Pinner siblings.
I knew one of the girls from youth group, and she asked me to photograph her siblings as a present for their parent’s anniversary. The only day we could shoot ended up being a very rainy day, but we brought colorful outfits, boots and umbrellas and made the best of it…and as you can see, we had quite a bit of fun along the way…

Yesterday I did an incredible photoshoot involving glitter, climbing a tree in 5 inch stiletto boots, wading in waist deep water to get to a rock in the ocean, and last but not least THIS incredible sunset was our backdrop…

this is straight out of my camera, the sky was so beautiful it literally took our breath away…
stay tuned for pictures from the actual shoot…coming soon
I had the pleasure of being a GUEST at this wedding so I left my camera in the car….thinking I wouldn’t need it since I was just there to enjoy the celebration…but after the ceremony I ran to the car to get my camera because I couldn’t handle being without it….and it didn’t help that every aspect of the wedding was absolutely gorgeous and all of my incredible friends were ridiculously good looking and dressed up to the T-basically it NEEDED to be documented…so here are a few fun pictures I took (as a guest) at Tobi and Kristyn’s Santa Barbara wedding

Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, but I love it even more now that I get to do so many family photoshoots for Christmas cards!
The Ambrose family was definitely one of my favorite family shoots I’ve done recently…the mom, Jenny was a bridesmaid in a wedding I did this fall, and I was so excited when she asked me to do a shoot of their family.
Here are a few of my favorite from our shoot at the Wilcox property in Santa Barbara….enjoy!
