Gosh I love these two! They have one of the best stories!
They’ve had a crush on each other since elementary school!! How crazy is that?! Cody transferred schools in fourth grade, and he noticed Amy right away. Over the next few years they got closer and closer as friends, started sitting by each other in every class, instant messaging each other till 3am! Then in high school Cody was the captain of the basketball team and Amy was the captain of the cheerleading squad, talk about the perfect high school set up! Their junior year they went on a double date and afterwards when they were walking on the beach Cody got down on one knee and asked her to be his girlfriend! Fast forward 8 years later, and Cody got back down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Their story seems like it’s straight out of a book, and when you meet them you know their love for each other is genuine and inspiring!
James and I were so excited to photograph the Cody’s surprise proposal to Amy a few months back, and we had an amazing time photographing their engagement session last weekend! Since the proposal was on a rooftop in downtown LA (dreamy, I know) we decided to do something entirely different for the engagement session! We headed up the mountain to Knapp’s Castle and it was incredible! The light was golden and gorgeous! While we were shooting a group of 30-40 people arrived so we had a bit of challenge shooting around them, but Cody and Amy were great and we successfully avoided the group and got some breath taking images! Enjoy!
I know I already posted one sneak peek from Cody and Amy’s engagement session, but I just had to post another!
Cody and Amy an incredible couple, and were a joy to photograph!!
As I am editing the images from their shoot I am drooling over the gorgeous light! It’s unreal!
So excited to post more images from their shoot so you can see what I’m talking about!
These two are the cutest! They are fun, playful, and hilarious! They made me and James laugh over and over again during the shoot! We had a blast photographing them, and we loved watching them interact, and it is so clear that they’re in love, and they are perfect for each other!! The way they love each other is honest, beautiful, and rare, and we are so excited for them to tie the knot!!
Justin and Nina are awesome! They have a playful love for each other, and James and I had such an amazing time photographing them! As you can see, they’re a good looking couple! Justin has an amazing mustache and Nina is absolutely stunning, and when they stood next to each other my creative mind was in heaven! We had a great time adventuring through trees as the sun set behind us! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in the fall!
Somehow Nina and I ended up wearing almost the exact same dress! It was hilarious! Clearly she did an amazing job picking out what to wear *wink wink*
Here is a sneak peek from Cody and Amy’s amazing engagement shoot today! I love these two so much and I can’t wait for you to see all the incredible photo greatness that happened today!!
Yesterday James and I did an engagement session with Nicho and Alanah! They are so cute and so in love! We had a blast photographing them, and it was the perfect way to spend our Valentines Day afternoon!

Sneak peek from Justin + Nina’s engagement session yesterday!
A gorgeous winter day with a great looking couple, amazing outfits and golden sunshine made for a perfect shoot!
Can’t wait to photograph their wedding in September!
Isaac and Lynnsie are not engaged, BUT they are so in LOVE!
They came to visit Santa Barbara to celebrate their one year anniversary of dating, and James and I couldn’t resist taking photos of their beautiful faces!
They have such an honest and beautiful love for each other, and they are so fun and playful! And Lynnsie is s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g!!! We had an incredible time taking pictures of them and we can’t wait to share more!!!
Tim and Jen have a great story of how hey ended up in Santa Barbara. They both lived in Washington DC and Tim was offered a job out in Santa Barbara. He decided to take the job and move to paradise, and he really wanted Jen to move out there with him!! Jen said the only way she would move cross country was if she had a job or an engagement ring….
Well…it wasn’t long before she visited Tim and they went kayaking out off the pier, and he proposed while they were kayaking!!! He even tied the ring to fishing line just in case it slipped. (such a smart move Tim!!)
After the proposal Jen packed up and moved out here to beautiful Santa Barbara and started planning the wedding!
We had such a fun time on the engagement session and we did it right by where Tim proposed! Such a fun shoot, with perfect sunshine and another beautiful winter day in paradise!
During the shoot, we saw dolphins off the end of the pier right where he proposed!! So special!!
sneak peek from Tim and Jen’s beautiful Santa Barbara beach engagement session yesterday!
It’s pretty crazy that this is what winter looks like here. I guess it’s clear why they call it paradise!
